The history might favour India but we all know cricket is a great leveller. Indian team for sure is stronger. To me it looks like a battle between the a conventional strong army and a fierce rag tag army fighting guerilla war. It is battle between Pakistan bowling and Indians batting. Whichever triumphs on that day will progress. The build up is thrilling. Mohali itseems has been turned into a fortress. wowow Indian Airforce and Army guarding the stadium, the country heads attending the match, huge crowd, fans from both the countries. This is simple intense.

However, I hope the players will not get distracted by all these. This is the time when the professionalism of the players are tested. The team that can hold their nerve will win. I just hope both team play to their potential and it turns out to be a great match of historic proportion. India has played well against australia, pakistan have been unpredictable but have survived. The outcome of this match might be decided by the last ball bowled but till then we fans have to just hold our breadth and hope for the best. Since dew factor is going to come to play, toss could be crucial.

It does not come as a surprise to me that Pakistan won. It was an easy match and Pakistan for sure dominated WI. Is there any international class player in WI side anymore except for Gayle? Seems like interest in WI has shifted from Cricket to Basketball , Baseball or someother sport.  Well, they are a written off side now.  The batting line up of Pakistan is still a doubt for me and I would not bet on them. For time being, pakistan supporters have a good reason to celebrate and lets see how far they go. Well played Guys!!!

The outcome of Ind vs Aus match is highly unpredictable but seeing the recent form of Australia, India should be less worried. However, Australia has uncanny ways of winning world cup so their experience should not be taken lightly. India should forget the ghosts of the past and take Australia by the horns from ball one. They should never gives these guys a chance, not even the sligtest. The fielder have to attack the ball, the bowlers have to attack the batsmen, and the batmens the fielders and the bowlers. Sachin might be the most experienced but he has to play the first few overs carefully and see brett lee and mitchell Johnson off. The middle order has to bat well and the lower order should make up for the collapse of the previous match. From here on, there are no half measures. It is do or die and lets play for GLORY!!! Obviously I’m supporting Indian Team here

The first round was quiet dramatic. Glad that England made it to quarter finals. Just because it is good for cricket. They were the most inconsistent performers but I think they are more stonger team then Bangladesh hence deserve to be in Quarters. Glad that Australia lost a match in World Cup. They had made World cup a boring event by winning all the previous 3 world cups. I don’t want them go beyong Semi-Finals. Just because it is good for cricket again. Let them work on their cricket and come back again as a strong team. South Africa is the strongest team visible to me. I hope they will make it to Finals this team. India today won against West India. Good for India but it is disappointing that they have to face Australia so early in the knock out stage. Overall it was a good first round. The matches to look forward in the next round is as follows:

What a fantastic start India got? That makes this loss to SA such a big tragedy. Did you people see how Sehway and Tendulkar went about smacking the SA pacers and their pretensious spinners. It was a long time since I had seen such a quality batting against pace attack. Holding called Steyn the only fast bowler but Sehwag batted marvellously against both Steyn and Morkel. 268 odd runs for one wicket and then India lost 8 wickets for 30 runs. How can it happen? Unbelievable.  Thats utterly unprofessional !!!!  Indian’s fielding is critised a lot. I don’t know want to add more to it. 

This world cup will be another tragedy for Indian fans. It is just going to happen. The tsunami is waiting to hit the shores. You want it or not, you cannot stop it from unravelling. Dhoni could help the cause by stopping giving intellectual comments. Those comments are non-sense. The team has to get together, motivate themselves, pick themselves up and play. Everyone in the team are getting good money, they have solid support, and they are talented. The  things they lack is professionalism, motivation, and some cricketing brain. It is not late yet. Works on your game boys. The next 15 days is the only chance to create history. Do or Die !!!!!

Just was wondering, when and how did Netherlands get into the game of playing cricket.

Wikipedia has some information. Itseems Dutch Cricket association was created well back in 19th Century and older then Australia, NZ and westindies associations.
Cricket itseems was a Major Sport in 1860s but Football later took over. Major teams like Australia and England have also toured Netherland in the early and late 20th century.
World probably remember their victory over England in a T20 match and more or less nothing.

189 was not a good score against India today but seemed like some quick wickets did put some pressure on the Indian batting line up.Yuvraj seems to be getting back to his original form and I liked the fact that India tried out Nehra in this match.Sending Pathan so early was not necessary and I hope India do not persist with such Ideas.

Ireland for sure were not taken lightly. That’s what I felt from yuvraj and dhoni’s batting. So much of respect???? Pathan for sure thinks differently. What makes him so different? I have seen cricketers more well built than him but they cannot clear the ropes as neatly as this guy does. It must be bottom hand or the way he picks up the ball that are pitched up. Whatever be the case. Those sixes were the sucker punch. I totally loved it. The match ended, India won, and it was all good.

The surprise came after that. Who won??? England against South Africa?? South africa failed to chase 165 odd runs. That sucks big time.
England now looks formidable again. Did England hide Staurt Board from India? The WC is truly getting Interesting !!

Irish Giant K O’Brien destroys English Team. Just couple of days England were on a high after their high score run chase. Wait!! it was a tie. Nevertheless, they had something to feel proud of.

I was at work, when my colleague turned towards me and in complete shock, exploded with the news of Ireland’s Victory over England. Why does he care? Well, he does because next match is between India and Ireland and he is Indian.

Truely shocking. A lot of people must have gone online to see how did it all happen. Yes, it is this unheard hero called K O’Brien. One look at his pic made me wonder that it might have not really taken him much effort to send the ball over the rope. Huge for sure. Indian team thinktank much be wondering about the strategy for the next match now. Any spinners in the India team who can trick this guy?

The next highest paid IPL cricketer could be K O’Brien. Keep it rocking dude!!!!
